We use
only tooth-coloured (composite) materials
for both new fillings and the replacement
of any
mercury amalgam fillings. However, for replacing
larger fillings an inlay
or a crown might be more
appropriate. You will be able to discuss the choice
of materials before any work is started.
Several types of local anaesthetic are
available,
including articaine. This, the use of surface local
anaesthetic, combined
with the ‘Wand’
, a
computer controlled delivery device, has made
pain-free dentistry possible. We pride ourselves
on the high quality of our pain
control.
There are usually several different
ways that a
tooth can be repaired, depending on its position
and the reason for
the repair. You will have a
chance to discuss your options, along with their
costs so that you can make an informed choice
about the work you have done for
you.
